You’ll be joining me, Lisa Carey, a certified fitness trainer and former professional athlete. I developed this age-embracing stability workout to help us feel good now, and support us for the long term. I’m passionate about fitness because it helps me feel more alive and allows me to enjoy the things I love doing.

Giving yourself the gift of stability can be a game changer. Mindful of our fear of falling as we advance in years; these 5 low impact exercises are designed to help increase our agility and control on unstable surfaces.

We work from our center, or core, the foundation for our posture, balance, and coordinated movement. It’s all about slow deliberate movements that engage the core so we feel strong and empowered, and can move independently.

All you need is a chair and a towel or yoga mat to start right where you are, appreciating each movement at your own pace.
